Some of the most successful founders in the U.S. are immigrants. How do you become a successful business leader in the U.S.? The first step to start is traveling there.

Via Visa :

There are a few different ways to come to America and obtain a green card by using a business. One way is to get an EB-5 immigrant visa. To obtain this you have to invest $1 million dollars in a U.S. business or $500,000 dollars in a business located in a rural area.

EB-2 Visa :

The second way is to obtain an EB-2 © visa. The requirement is to have a higher education degree of a master’s or higher. This may still apply to you if you have exceptional ability in your field. The main purpose of this visa is for you to bring your experience and expertise into the U.S.

E-2 Treaty Investors:

The third way is to obtain an E-2 Treaty Investors. To obtain this come to the U.S. start a business and invest at least $100,000 dollars. Also check to make sure your home country is on the list of treaties of investors, as this is another requirement.

O-1 visa :

The fourth way is to obtain an O-1 visa. To get this you have to have the good business capability or be recognized for your talent. An example of this is someone who created a new business product that is selling very well, or someone who has created something that gets reviewed by the United States media. The last requirement is to get a U.S. business to sponsor you.

The fifth way is an L1 visa. If you are a CEO or a top executive of a company that has locations in and out of the U.S. then the L1A visa is for you. If your company needs to send you to the U.S. you can receive this visa if you have worked at the company for at least one year. However, if your 

L1B visa :

The company is sending you to the U.S. because they want you to start a U.S. office for them then you should apply for the L1B visa. You do not have to be CEO to receive this visa; it is more likely that you just specialize in a certain area.

H1B visa :

The sixth option is an H1B visa. To obtain this visa you need to have at least a bachelor’s degree and be an employee of a company. There are specified requirements you will also have to meet which can be found here.

B-1 Visa :

The seventh option is B-1 Visa. This short term visa that max’s at one year. This is not a work visa. This visa is used mainly for networking. Most use this when they are researching what they wish to invest in or which business they’re going to start up.

F-1 OPT :

The last option is for up and coming entrepreneurs. The F-1 OPT can get you to the U.S. if you are a student and have been studying for at least one year. If you plan on starting a business it has to be related to your major of study. You also can’t work more than 20 hours during the school year.
